This morning I rode my bike for an hour. The weather was nice enough I could have gone running again, but my shins are a bit sore so I decided to let them rest abit.
After lunch we went to our town's harvest festival. They had booths and a bounce house and horse rides, and the kids could go trick or treating at all the local businesses. Little Miss Sunshine got to play in a bounce house for the first time. She thought it was fun, just like a trampoline. Once she got the hang of it all, she decided trick or treating was great- you say 'trick or treat' and people give you candy! What could be better than that? She lasted about an hour (there was some walking involved, not all the businesses are real close together), then we went home and she conked out right away.
This evening was our ward's trunk or treat and chili cook-off. She got even more candy! So fun! Her costume was a fluffy chicken costume we bought at Old Navy last year after Halloween. We knew my Army Guy would be gone, and we wanted him to have a part in it, so we picked it out together. Everybody commented on how cute she was, though there was some confusion on whether she was a duck or chicken. It could go either way if you didn't see the red comb on top of the hood. Anyway, she had a great time.
Last night I finally got started on my final quilt. I've been putting it off because I want to do a good job on it, but am afraid I'm going to screw it up. However, I've got other projects that need to get done, so no more procrastinating.
that is the stinkin' cutest costume! i love it!
