With the Fourth of July coming up, I thought I'd make one last ruffle skirt for LMS. (I made one for Halloween and Valentine's day, plus one more I haven't blogged about yet.)
I followed the same process as before, cutting strips from adult x-large shirts I bought on sale at JoAnns. Sew the strips together, ruffle them up, then sew them to an old t-shirt base. Using the hem of the t-shirt gives an automatic waist band to insert elastic into.
It's a fairly straightforward process, though it does take a couple hours. The results sure are cute!
