August was my highest mileage month so far this year. I'm just over 500 combined miles for the year and need 115 more bike miles and 115 more foot miles to double my 365 mile challenge. At my current pace, that means a little more than two months to reach that goal. That will leave less than two more months to do another 365 miles, which would be a triple 365. Pretty sure that won't happen, but given the slow start I got to the year with how sick I was for so long, just surpassing the double goal is pretty good.
Signs of fall can be seen in the woods around our house and as we hike, even if the temperature doesn't support what our eyes can see. While I don't actually mind heat by itself that much, when you mix it with high humidity, it's just awful. I am definitely looking forward to cooler temps.
