We've found trail markers on several of our hikes recently, which is a new experience since our usual parks don't have regular markers. I've taken advantage of their presence and taught the boys how to look for the next marker and what to do if you lose the trail.
On our recent trip to Ohio, Ocean realized there were markers on the roads. He started yelling "Trail marker! Trail marker!" every time he saw a road sign. A little repetitive, but observant of him :)
