Max does not approve of Buddy encroaching in her territory and she found ways to show it while he was here.
She started out by coming inside and shutting the door while Buddy was still outside.
Then she stepped up her game. She'd ask to go outside, then she'd go out, wait for Buddy to follow her (he always did), then she'd come back inside and shut the door, leaving him outside. He'd be left outside, looking confused "what just happened? I don't understand..."
I'm also fairly certain she gloated about being able to sleep on my bed while he had to sleep on the floor.
