Hmm, if I fiddle with the picture a little that front tooth isn't quite so noticeable:

Our dentist gave her a referral to the orthodontist when we went in for cleanings a week or so ago because her teeth are so crowded and crooked. We've known this was coming since we took her to the dentist when she was about 2 and they could already tell she'd need braces.
This morning we went in and they evaluated where she's at. She's only got 3 1/2 adult teeth in so far (but has lost 6 baby teeth), so we're in the wait and see stage. However, she does have 4 baby teeth that are blocking the way for more adult teeth to come in. If they don't fall out in the next 3 months, she'll have to get them pulled to make more room for the adult teeth. So we'll go back in 3 months and see what (if anything) has changed.
