On the way home from our four mile race yesterday, I asked River what he thought about the race.
"It was fantastic!"
"Oh? What part was fantastic?" < I had not received the impression while we were doing the race that he thought it was fantastic- he was more focused on the fact that his feet hurt. >
"The food and the playground!" < he ate at least 2 oranges-worth of orange wedges, 3 or 4 mini cupcakes, a granola bar, and who knows what else while we waited for the door prize drawing, and then he played on the playground that was right next to the pavilion at the race start/finish >
