The following is a conversation LMS and I had one day after Mr M went back to work after eating lunch with us.
Let's help daddy sneak out of work.
How will we do that? Won't they notice that he's not there?
No, we'll make a cardboard daddy.
Oh. Well, won't they notice that it's not getting any work done?
No, because it'll be magical! It'll stay at work and get all the work done. The boss won't notice anything.
--- she talked a bit more in that vein, than went on---
And we'll make another cardboard daddy to do army stuff, too
(she means to go to drill)
And we'll tell all our friends about the magical cardboard daddies so they can make cardboard daddies too. Then all the real daddies will get to stay home with their kids while the cardboard daddies go to work.
If only it worked that way :)
