When we left home, the forecast called for rain, so we brought light jackets and umbrellas. A couple days later, after we'd left home, the forecast changed to snow. Lots of it.
We didn't have boots, hats, gloves, winter coats, window scrapers, or chains. Oops. At least we didn't have to travel over snowy mountains like my sister and her family.
It's been too long since we've lived in Colorado, where spring time weather is always fickle and you can get snow in June. Out here, a fickle spring time means more rain than usual.
When we got home a couple days later, our trees were full of leaves and we couldn't see our neighbors anymore. Such a stark difference from the blizzard we were in just three days earlier.
